Teddy Roosevelt Society
Named after our founding father, President Theodore Roosevelt, the Teddy Roosevelt Society was formed to recognize the donors who contribute from the $100-$999 level of giving.
Membership in this new donor society is reserved for those who give generously to all Navy League of the United States-affiliated programs at the headquarters level. This includes ALL gift designations to Navy League headquarters, as well as gifts to the Navy League Foundation and STEM Institute.
These donors provide the margin of excellence we need to truly fulfill our commitment to the men and women of the sea services. The members of the Teddy Roosevelt Society will carry forward this culture of philanthropy and play a key role in shaping the future of Navy League of the United States.
While the Teddy Roosevelt Society is new in 2020, the tradition of giving to Navy League of the United States is well established. The generosity of donors has already yielded tremendous benefits for our nation’s sea services, Navy League Foundation Scholarship students, STEM Institute and the many people who benefit from the work of our legislation and advocacy on behalf of the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marines.
Society Benefits
The Teddy Roosevelt Society recognizes committed donors who support Navy League of the United States with gifts at the following amounts and levels*:
- Centennial $100-$249
- Sapphire $250-$499
- Gold $500-$999
Donors qualify for membership upon making their initial gift in 2020 and can maintain their membership in the society with a consecutive year of giving or immediately after committing to a recurring gift.
Members receive:
- Personalized acknowledgement letter from the director of philanthropy
- Special recognition in the new annual report to donors
- Monthly “wallpaper” for your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, featuring each of the sea services we support: Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marines. New wallpapers will be posted by the first Saturday of each month
- 2021 calendar mailed out December 2020
*All gift designations within Navy League of the United States headquarters, as well as gifts to the Navy League Foundation, STEM and legislative affairs, will qualify to be recognized at the above giving levels.

They can be downloaded as wallpapers for your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. New wallpapers will be posted by the first Saturday of each month, and in 2021 they will match the photos featured in a Navy League of the United States calendar.
